The Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) is a major conference geared towards the marketing of Spanish-language alternative music.

Since 2020, the organization has been promoting a virtual conference months before the in-person conference, with showcases and panels that bring together music industry experts from different companies related in some way to Spanish-language music in the United States. LAMC is organized by Industria Works, a very prestigious and relevant organization for the Spanish music industry, not only for organizing LAMC, but also for its activity as a booking – management agency and record label.

Among the artists they have collaborated with are Love of Lesbian, Tom Tom Club, Paula Cendejas, Nicola Cruz and Cande y Paulo, Trueno, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, El mató a un policía motorizado, Natos y Waor, Maikel de la Calle, Pahua or El Guincho.

Why are you interested?

It is an ideal activity for those companies and bands that want to initiate contact with this part of the industry: both for representatives attracted by the content of the conferences, as well as for the artists selected by the organization. Each year, the programmed concerts accumulate thousands of reproductions. In 2023, a total of 581,000 people viewed Virtual LAMC programming.

Tips for getting the most out of the activity

If you have a band selected for the virtual showcase it is recommended to choose well the piece of music that you will send to the festival. As far as possible send something exclusive and that best represents the essence of the band.

In general, it is recommended to be active in the forums that are enabled around the different activities.
