Spanish music at FIMGDL in Mexico, with the support of Sounds from Spain

Alberto & García, Efecto Pasillo, Marilia Monzón and Niña Polaca will present their musical proposals in Guadalajara (Mexico).

Sounds From Spain returns to Mexico to participate one more year in FIM GDL – which after 10 years of its first edition has become one of the  most relevant musical events in Ibero-America and this year will fill the Mexican city with music between February 28 to March 2.

 

FIM GDL will feature a special series of showcases in which 23 musical projects will represent 7 countries: Canada, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic. It should be noted that 676 projects from 26 countries were registered in the selection stage.

 

Among the selection, Spanish talent will be represented by  four interesting proposals: Alberto & Garcia and their unique fusion of Latin American folklore, classic pop-rock and electronica; Efecto Pasillo with all the strength and energy of Canarian pop music; Marilia Monzon and its delicacy made song and Niña Polaca. They have become one of the revelation indie bands in Spain, and will present their showcases on Thursday, February 29th at the C3 Stage in Guadalajara.

 

The Spanish delegation is completed with the participation of 5 companies: Darlalata Entertainment, EP Management, Escenamusic, Esmerarte and Subterfuge Records. The fair’s professional program will include conferences and panels, as well as sessions on the following subjects speedmeetings and a session of networking organized on February 28th by Sounds From Spain, to promote business relations between Spanish delegates and professionals from Mexico and other countries.

 

This activity is coordinated and organized by PROMUSICAE-Productores de Música de España, and its managing director, Soco Collado, will lead the Spanish delegation.
