In June 1989 Subterfuge began its journey first as a fanzine and shortly after as a record label. Since its birth, it has become a reference for the most daring public and a trendsetter. A constant alliance with emerging and contemporary talent . More than a quarter of a century later, Subterfuge continues to vindicate its beginnings, the achievement of a dream and to be the independent company of reference in Spain.

Subterfuge has been able to adapt to the times by establishing a business model that goes beyond simple record publishing and encompasses a wide range of music-related services.

In 2009 Subterfuge Events was born , focused on booking, organization and production of its own events and for third parties.

During all this time they have released essential bands to understand Spanish music such as Australian Blonde, Neuman, Sexy Sadie, Corizonas, Viva Suecia, McEnroe, Fangoria, Marlango, Dover, Cycle, Anni B Sweet, Fresones Rebeldes, Najwajean, Los Ronaldos, Mercromina, Surfin Bichos, Dr. Explosión, Arizona Baby, The Zombie Kids … and a very long list of others.
