Spearhead of the electrocuplé, sex symbol of the copla and total artist, Rodrigo Cuevas (Oviedo, 1985) is a phenomenon of the performing arts as well as of communication in its broadest sense, whose professional development continues in a sustained progression.
Rodrigo Cuevas has an academic musical education: piano and tuba studies at the Conservatory of Oviedo and three years of Sonology in Barcelona.
Rodrigo Cuevas likes to mix traditional songs with cabaret and cuplé, he enjoys making electronic music converse with humor, sensuality and social criticism, turning his shows into a cultural and sensorial experience with denomination of origin.
“Trópico de Covadonga“, premiered in June 2019, meant the artistic consolidation of Rodrigo Cuevas. A show, the third in his particular account, in which folkloric and electronic agitation, field divismo and humor, elegant eroticism, hedonism, the celebration of non-negotiable rights and a staging that leaves no one indifferent, combine in a formula that everyone would like to clone but that no one, except him, knows how.
