Sweetness and authenticity are the hallmarks of Marilia and her voice. Her music, characterized by its simplicity and beauty, lends healing qualities to melodies that lack artifice.
With the release of her debut album, Prenderé una Velita (2023, Esmerarte), the Canarian artist begins a new stage with ten songs full of authenticity that draw from the pop and folk music of her homeland, the Canary Islands, as well as from the peninsula and a large part of Latin America.
The album is produced by Juanma Latorre (composer, guitarist and keyboardist of Vetusta Morla) and mastered in Mexico by Latin Grammy winner Nacho Sotelo (Carla Morrison, Mon Laferte).
