Karmento is a folk artist from La Mancha who began her artistic career in 2012, when she decided to move to the island of Malta. There he began to meet international musicians and began to write the songs that would make up her first album ‘Mudanzas’.
In 2020, when she released the album ‘Este devenir’, she began to position himself as one of the great names of Spanish neofolklore, making her album one of the 10 best albums of Música de Raíz for MondoSonoro and obtaining a nomination for the MIN Awards in that category. Their live performance was selected in different circuits, theater networks and catalogs, and the tour ended with more than 130 concerts performed.
Karmento participated in the Benidorm Fest 2023, with her song ‘Quiero y duelo’, becoming one of the finalists thanks to the unanimous support of the public. Thanks to this song she also got two nominations to the MIN Awards. Now Karmento returns with her new album ‘La Serrana’ which will be released in February 2024.
